Mini-invasive surgery of the thyroid gland

The surgery is performed through a tiny opening (approximately 1 cm) using fine tools, and for the incision of the parenchyma and for hemostasis a laser or argon plasma scalpel is applied. Besides, the use of modern appliances for hemostasis, no vascular repair with sutures is necessary. The incision is repaired by a cosmetic seam which after healing leaves a nearly invisible scar.
